Have you ever found yourself rocking out in the car to a song you’ve never heard before, wishing you could instantly discover the name of that song and perhaps even store the name so you can download the song the instant you get home? Well, whip out your Android phone, and download a free app called Shazam.

Shazam will listen to any song playing in the background for several seconds, and then quickly satiate your need-to-know by returning the song’s name and artist. The app will also give you the opportunity to instantly download the identified song from Amazon’s MP3 store or search YouTube for a music video.

Shazam will save a list of identified songs so you can easily go on a spontaneous download rampage without struggling to remember what tunes you have deemed worthy of your 99 cents.
