Reston, VA – November 19, 2010 – HTC announced yesterday that its HTC Sense user interface will be updated on some of the company’s Android phones to offer more features and better usability. The new application is called HTC Sync 3.0 and it will be available for the following devices: T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide, HTC EVO 4G (Sprint), AT&T Aria, HTC Desire (U.S. Cellular) and the Droid Incredible (Verizon).

HTC Sync can synchronize Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express contacts between a computer and an Android phone, and it also syncs the Outlook calendar and web browser bookmarks between your computer and your phone. In addition, HTC Sync lets you install third-party Android applications on the phone, and can be used to load photos, videos, documents, songs, and playlists to the Android device. For those of you who plan your life well in advance, HTC Sync 3.0 will permit one year’s worth of Outlook calendar scheduling on your phone.

To use HTC Sync 3.0, you will need to download the application from HTC. The application will run on any recent PC that uses Windows XP or later – HTC Sync 3.0 is not yet available for Apple Macintosh computers. To download HTC Sync, visit HTC.com and click on the “Support” tab.

There is no word from HTC regarding HTC Sync 3.0 support for the company’s other Android devices.
