Now that we’ve had the Kyocera Echo for a day, we’ve had a chance to take a closer look at this unusual phone. To satisfy your curiosity about the Echo’s features, the video to the right gives a closer look at the phone and what it can do.
Running on Sprint’s 3G EVDO Rev. A network, the Kyocera Echo uses the Android 2.2 operating system and has a 1 GHz processor. It’s the display that really gets your attention: Two 3.5-inch LCD screens that dock together to create a single 4.7-inch display with the resolution of 960 x 800 pixels. In the video to the right, Wirefly’s Bob Kovacs shows how you can split the screens to have one application on one screen and another application on the second screen, as well as how the two screens make some tasks easier… and some are just strange.
