For a couple of years, the myTouch series of phones have been a technology workshop for T-Mobile. With its partner HTC, T-Mobile designed the myTouch series to use cutting-edge technologies such as 4G connectivity, the fastest processors and the highest-resolution cameras. Now T-Mobile has decided to go in a different direction with its myTouch series, dialing back the technology but dramatically reducing the cost. The new myTouch and myTouchQ by LG compete in the middle of the technology pack and sell at a very friendly price.
In this review video, Wirefly’s Bob Kovacs checks out the myTouch by LG, including discussing its features and running it through a standard benchmark test. Click on the window to the right to get all the details.

The dual-core Scorpion ceporssor(the name of the ceporssor in the Snapdragon SoC) is asynchronous. That means it each core is controlled independently. The clock speed and voltage for each core can be completely different. So the phone will run only using one core at time if the second one isn’t needed for anything. If you look at the system info in Quadrant it will list the clock speeds as question marks because it can not actually tell what it is doing at any point in time.

I can’t figure out how to use Wirefly to move all my contacts from the old phone to the new phone

Camelia, I assume your carrier is T-Mobile. You should probably go to a T-Mobile store with both phones and ask them to do the transfer. Wirefly doesn’t have a procedure or system to help you move contacts from an old phone to a new phone. However, if your old phone is an Android or iPhone, you can use Wirefly Mobile Backup to save your contacts online and move them to a new phone. For more information about that, click here: Wirefly Mobile Backup.

Dianne, does this phone have any insurance or device protection plan? If you do have such a plan, it will be on the monthly bill for the phone. You should be able to get the phone replaced for free through such a plan. If you have no insurance plan, you’re out of luck… you will have to buy a replacement phone at full price.
Hope that helps!
