    @onetime

Probably because todaysandroid.com only posts 1 thing a week and the other ones you visit has new connect everyday.. usually 5-10 posts a day and not 1 a week.

also d-bag droidog.com is owned by tmonews.com great way to be stupid.. congrats of talking smack and then getting owned.

how can tmo news be best cell phone news blog lol. the only news it features is for one carrier which happens to be the smallest of the big 4 WTF? a joke right?

and what about blogs like todaysandroid.com or droidog.com for best android blog?

i guess these types of contests are more about personal relationships than actual content.

  • I still like mwd.com from all of the above. Has all news.

The finalists were not chosen solely on the volume of nominations.
Finalists were chosen based on quality of the site relevant to the category and number of nominations.
Blogs with high volume of nominations were given extra consideration, but in many cases the extra consideration did not push the site higher than those we selected as finalists.
Several sites that received a high volume of nominations were actually forums, not blogs. Others sites only posted once or twice a week, at most.
In the end, the blogs that posted quality content on a consistent basis were deemed worthy of being finalists.

We appreciate your feedback, and will continue to look for ways to improve our Blog Awards going forward.
We welcome any and all suggestions.

    Thanks,

Droid-Life.com did not make the list of finalists because it did not match the category relevancy part of the awards. While Droid-Life.com is indeed an excellent blog, it is not, especially in comparison to the other nominees, an “Android blog.” Droid-Life is a blog about the Motorola Droid.

We’re have heard the feedback from Droid-Life.com and its passionate readers, and we will be sure to broaden our categories for next year’s awards to recognize more of the great blog coverage being done.

I didn’t care too much about most the voted but voted. Except phandroid.com. Phandroid is and always be my source for all things android. Their website is clean and fun, plus user friendly on my phone. Their mobile apparently for news is awesome and clean, which is what we are here for. Their news is informative. My vote is phandroid. If they loose I would never visit wirefly again.

  • voted for tmonews thay always have great updates

  • Wirefly, can you put ‘androidforums.com’ in parenthesis beside phandroid? A lot of people recognize that instead of phandroid.

  • No Droid Life. How is that?

I think it would be fun to say how we voted. So here’s mine:

Best Android Blog: Android Community (they have lots of members, that’s always where I go because that’s where the most info, help, tips, and tricks can be found).

Best BlackBerry: Crackberry (No contest IMHO. I remember when they started out, I was a “founding member.” They let me keep my user name which is “Michael Crackberry” which was cool for them to do. So they will always get my vote. LOL).

Best Cell Phone News: TMoNews (No contest, plus its cited all over the Net. When you do a Google search most of the top hits from all the major sites, Engadget/BGR/The Russians, show them referring to TMoNews. That’s quite an accomplishment for this small startup new site.)

Best Cell Phone Review Blog: PhoneDog (close call, I like PhoneScoop and MobileBurn… a lot. But Noah makes PhoneDog tops for me).

Best Windows Mobile Blog: PocketNow (no contest, they always have the best tips and tricks, especially on YouTube. But for their tips I would not know half of what I find out from them, usually from my YouTube subscription).

  • It’s not like this is recognized and respected award, it’s pretty much a way for wirefly to thank these sites for their business.

  • What was your criteria for selecting these blogs? Hope it wasn’t based on how much money these sites bring in.

But, considering Boy Genius Report and PhoneNews.com didn’t make the cut, I’m skeptical.

  • Agreed!!

  • Not too many surprises… :)

That’s right Neil. I was not surprised that all my votes were in the lead. People agree with us. ;)

Funniest result was Crackberry. If I was the competition I would just forfeit now rather than waste space and bandwidth. :)

Oh, it would be “fun”? How gay. You always write a 2000 word comment, way over analyzed and useless. I bet you have OCD bad.
