RESTON, VA — December 21, 2009 –Wirefly (www.wirefly.com), the internet’s leading authorized retailer of cell phones and plans, today announced a valuable new benefit for U.S. cell phone shoppers. Now, shoppers who visit Wirefly.com using Bing.com, Microsoft’s new decision engine, will receive $50 cash back for every cell phone, netbook, or wireless card they purchase with a service plan – up to $250 for a 5-line family plan.
“Wirefly shoppers expect us to save them money when compared to a retail store,” said Brian Westrick, president of Wirefly’s Consumer Wireless Division. “Now through the innovative Bing cashback program, our customers get even more value, even on phones that are free with a contract.”
The Bing cashback program costs nothing to join. Consumers who navigate to Wirefly from Bing and complete a purchase receive the cashback from Bing directly to their accounts, even if the transaction amount is less than $50.00. “Many of the most popular cell phones from BlackBerry, Samsung, LG, and HTC are free on Wirefly,” Westrick added. “We expect many of our customers to get more cashback from Bing than they paid for their new phones.”
Cell phone seekers will still be able to enjoy all of the benefits that come with shopping at Wirefly.com – an expansive selection of the latest cell phones, PDAs and smartphones from every major U.S carrier, tremendous discounts and greater savings – up to hundreds of dollars less than retail stores, straightforward pricing without rebates, and free Fedex shipping. With this new program, Wirefly is simply making online shopping even more lucrative – by offering its customers an opportunity to get $50 cashback from Bing with every phone they purchase with a service plan.
“We’re excited to have Wirefly join as a new retailer in the Bing cashback program and offer new savings,” said Raju Malhotra, director of Bing shopping at Microsoft Corp. “We hope the new offering for a flat cash back rate will continue driving shoppers to Bing and Wirefly.”
It is really that simple!

Hello, i purchased a phone on July 28th 2011 and searched on bing from my work. I made the purchase but had no idea about the cashback program. Is it possible to still earn the $50 cashback afterwards?

Annemarie, the Bing cashback program ended more than a year ago – sorry about the confusion. I will take the article off Wirefly Learn in the next couple of days so that no one else is confused by it.
