You will need to get the screen fix at a local repair shop. Your text messages are not something that you can transfer from phone to phone. You can find a repair facility by doing a search on the internet, but make sure to read the reviews to make sure the work is worth the price.

In my experience when that happens there is something physically wrong with the headphone jack. I would recommend taking it to your carrier and asking them to test it.

Mary, your best bet is to stop at a Sprint store and ask for help. Someone at a store should be able to figure out what to do to reset the carousel feature.
