can i hook my camando up to my lap top like a tether . to see everything on my phone on my lap top icluding internet?????????
How do you control the volume? After making a PTT call the volume goes back to low… Anyone seen this?
1. Ever since daylight savings my appointments in my calendar display 2 different times 1 hour apart. How do I fix that?
2. I recently had a software upgrade and now I have an “Emergency Alerts” icon. How does this work & how do I use it?
I’m sorry but i could not find anything to help you on getting your calendar corrected after the daylight savings time change. I would try to get in contact with Casio and ask them if this is an issue with just your phone or if it is a larger issue. For the Emergency Alerts here is your answer.
Wireless Emergency Alerts (WEAs) are free wireless notifications that are delivered to your mobile device as part of a new public safety system provided by Authorized Senders. They are designed to inform you of imminent threats to safety or missing persons alerts in your area. Review the information included in the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) that you received, and follow any instructions that may be listed. Authorized Senders may also release updates to WEAs with further information as needed. Please watch for subsequent updates, and review them carefully for new details.
Hope this helps you get started.

Why is it that sometimes my bluetooth disconnects from my commando. I have to turn bluetooth off and back on for it to connect. It is almost like it is asleep.
Bodie, sorry, I don’t have an answer for you. It could be a phone issue, or it could be a problem with your Bluetooth device. See if you can try your Bluetooth headset with another phone. If it doesn’t randomly disconnect for a good long period, then the problem is with your phone. If it does randomly disconnect, then you know the headset is bad.
Hope that helps!

My new commando seems to have a problem with the app “fire keys”. It will not pickup the dictionary and macros that are keyworded by me for that app. Also, having a hard time with deletions from email (they stay or reload to the inbox). Any ideas?
Ray, did you get the Casio Commando from Wirefly? If so, how long ago? If it is less than 30 days old, Wirefly will swap it out for another — that’s the only suggestion I have.
If you did not get your Commando from Wirefly, you should contact that vendor to discuss swapping. Good luck!
I have a casio G’z comando. on the home screen there is a giant compass. can someone help me get this compass off my screen
Brett, you should be able to easily delete the big compass. Here’s what you do:
1. Touch and hold the compass until the phone buzzes. A trash can icon or “delete bar” should appear at the top or bottom of the phone.
2. While still touching-and-holding the compass icon, drag it to the trash can/bar.
That should delete it. If that doesn’t work, I suggest you take the phone to a Verizon store and have them do it for you.
Any ideas on how to set an audible alert for missed calls? I can’t seem to find a way to do it in the menus.
Jim, I’ve never actually handled the Casio G’zOne Commando, so I’m not much help. However, I suggest that you ask your question where Casio fans hang out, such as an online forum for your phone. Here’s a forum specific to the Commando on Android Forums:
Casio G’zOne forum
Post your question there and you are much more likely to get an answer. Good luck!

I have a new casio GZ One Commando when texting can I speak my message instead of typeing.
Pat, you should be able to speak a text instead of typing it, although I have not personally tried that myself. I suggest downloading an app called “SpeakToIt” from the Android Market. It’s free and works much like Siri for iPhones. With SpeakToIt, you should be able to speak a text message and have the phone send it to the right person, hands-free.
How do you do that ?
Why is it when I plug head phones or a stereo receiver into my phone I only get mono sound in the left speakers?
Woody, I’m not sure why that happens. Are you sure that you’ve pushed the plug all the way in on your phone?
I’ve used a few different phones with the Aux jack on my car stereos and they have worked perfectly. No problem getting both channels.
Why can i be right next to some one with the same phone as i and they have 3 to 4 bars and i have no signal. Why do i constitally get this Alloy Data Access always popping up. VERY ANNOYING. Did i just get a junk phone.
Scott, I see that too and it is frustrating. However, cell phones use high frequencies to connect with the towers, usually in two frequency bands: One in the 800 MHz band and the other around 2,000 MHz. Both these are highly subject to reflections. blockage and disturbances, so the towers and the phone constantly switch frequencies and power in order to stay connected. That is one reason why one phone can have perfect coverage and another can have poor coverage just a few feet away. Of course, your Commando might also have a problem, so take it to a Verizon store and have it checked.
