Wirefly fans continue to be interested in seeing the Apple iPhone compared to a variety of other phones – and who can blame them? The iPhone is an industry icon that singlehandedly launched the current popularity of visually based touch-controlled smartphones.
In this video, we compare the Internet browser speed of an iPhone compared to the new Motorola Droid Pro, a business-oriented version of Motorola’s popular Droid line. To improve the fairness of the test, we have the phones connected to the Internet by two separate-but-equal methods: The Droid Pro is connected to one internal WiFi network and the iPhone is connected to a different internal WiFi network.
It’s important to note that the Motorola Droid Pro runs on the Android 2.2 operating system and fully supports the display of Adobe Flash video. The Apple iPhone does not display Flash video and simply skips loading such windows when they appear on a page. An Adobe Flash window is on the second page shown in this test.
