The HTC EVO Shift, on Sprint’s 4G WiMax network, is generating a lot of buzz in the industry and many ask how it compares to a variety of other phones. Earlier today, Wirefly posted a Schmackdown video comparing the EVO Shift to its older sibling, the HTC EVO 4G. However, the EVO Shift and the EVO 4G are not really intended to be similar, so that comparison is a little like comparing hamburgers and hot dogs.
One capable cell phone that is similar to the HTC EVO Shift is the Motorola DROID R2-D2, a re-badged version of the Motorola DROID 2 that features Star Wars graphics and visuals. Underneath the graphics is a capable Android phone that runs on Verizon’s 3G CDMA network. Both the HTC EVO Shift and the Motorola DROID R2-D2 run the Android 2.2 operating system, both have slide-out keyboards and both have powerful processors that make for responsive operation. So how do they compare in a Wirefly Schmackdown? Click on the video to the right to find out.
Both HTC EVO Shift and the Motorola DROID R2-D2 are available at great prices from Wirefly.
