HTC HD7 vs. HTC Surround
Windows Phone 7, the new operating system from Microsoft, will hit the marketplace running on Nov. 8, 2010. Two of those phones are already making some big noise: the HTC HD7 and HTC Surround, both of which will available for sale on Wirefly.com.
Key Differences
- Size: Windows diehards will recognize the HD7 as the close cousin of the HD2. It’s 4.3-inch display sets it apart from the Surround and the other Windows phones set to launch. Despite its extra-large display, the HD7 does not pack on much extra weight. It’s dimensions are only slightly larger than the Surround and it is actually a few ounces lighter..
- Power: Both are equipped with ultra-fast fast 1 GHz Snapdrageon processors. The HD7 carries 512MB of RAM while the Surround has 448 MB RAM.
- Storage space: Right out of the box, both phones offer 16GB of on-board storage space.
- Battery life: The HTC HD7 reportedly offers a respectable 6.33 hours of talk time and an incredible 310 hours of standby time, while the HTC Surround checks in with 4 hours of talk time and 275 hours of standbytime.
