Key Differences
- User interface: The HTC Hero has HTC’s custom user interface called Sense built on top of Android, while the Moment has the standard Android interface. HTC’s Sense interface offers a number of advanced customization options for the Hero, including additional home screens, custom widgets, and the ability to change the layout and icons on the home screens depending on what the user is doing.
- Design: The Samsung Moment features a slide-out physical QWERTY keyboard (in addition to an on-screen virtual keyboard), while the Hero has only a virtual QWERTY. Because of the inclusion of a physical keyboard, the Moment is somewhat bulkier and heavier than the Hero.
- Display: While both devices have the same size display and display resolution, images on the Samsung Moment may appear more vibrant because its AMOLED technology display. The Moment’s display will also consume less battery power.
- Storage Space: Right out of the box, the HTC Hero has a 2GB microSD card pre-instaleld (upgradeable to 32GB) for on-board storage of music, video and more. The Samsung Moment can support up to a 32GB microSD card, but does not come with one pre-installed.
