There’s no question that the HTC ThunderBolt on Verizon Wireless is a standout device. With its big display, fast internals and 4G capability, it put Verizon on the map as a supplier of high-end phones with 4G network speeds. As fast as it is, the ThunderBolt has a single-core processor, which brings up the question of how well it compares in terms of processing speed against one of the new dual-core processors.
Using a T-Mobile G2x phone with a dual-core processor running against the ThunderBolt, Wirefly’s Bob Kovacs ran the Smartbench 2011 test on both phones to see how they compare. Click on the video window to the right to see the results of this interesting comparison test.
