Motorola DROID Bionic vs. HTC EVO 3D Comparison
The HTC EVO 4G created a sensation when it was introduced in the summer of 2010. The first 4G phone available in the U.S., the EVO 4G took advantage of the high-speed connection available from Sprint’s WiMax network, easily surpassing the networking speed capability on any other cell phone. Sprint now plans to replace the beloved EVO 4G with a more powerful phone called the HTC EVO 3D. Capable of shooting 3D photos and video (and displaying them without glasses), the HTC EVO 3D will have a dual-core processor, more memory and a higher-resolution display than the original EVO.
Other companies aren’t standing still, however. In the next few weeks, Verizon Wireless plans to introduce the Motorola DROID Bionic, the next generaion of DROID-branded phones. The DROID Bionic will sport specs and features similar to the EVO 3D, including a 4.3-inch display, dual-core processor, 4G connection speeds and expanded memory. How do these two powerful but yet-to-be introduced phones compare?

Key Differences
- Display: Both the Motorola DROID Bionic and the HTC EVO 3D have 4.3-inch LCD displays with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels, but the EVO 3D promises that you can view 3D content without special glasses on its screen.
- Operating system: The Motorola DROID Bionic is expected to ship with Android 2.3, while the HTC EVO 3D should arrive with Android 2.3.
- Processor and RAM: The Motorola DROID Bionic features a dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB of processor RAM. The HTC EVO 3D is expected to have a dual-core 1.2GHz processor and 1GB of processor RAM, which should give it bragging rights for processor speed for the near future.
- Keyboard: Both the Motorola DROID Bionic and the HTC EVO 3D have on-screen virtual QWERTY keyboards.
- Storage Space: The Motorola DROID Bionic will ship with 16GB of onboard memory, and has a microSD slot that will accommodate memory cards up to 32GB. The HTC EVO 3D will have 4GB of onboard storage and an 8GB microSD card pre-installed.

The HTC EVO 3D will have dual 5-megapixel cameras capable of shooting 3D images and video, and will be able to record video at 720p resolution in both 2D and 3D modes.
- Battery life: The Motorola DROID Bionic will have a 1,735 mAh lithium-ion battery that is replaceable by the user. The HTC EVO 3D will have a 1,730 mAh user-replaceable battery.

The EVO 3S does in fact come with a 1.5GHz Dualcore. HTC underclocked the core on release to help control battery life.

A few corrections here…
Bionic will NOT come with a 2 Ghz processor. No such thing yet. It in fact comes with a 1 Ghz processor.
The EVO 3D does NOT come with a 1.2 Ghz processor. It in fact comes with a 1.5 Ghz processor, currently the fastest available as of this comment.

Barrett, thank you for the corrections… I fixed a variety of things once I looked at this old comparison chart. Please note that the HTC EVO 3D does in fact have a 1.2GHz processor, which I just checked on the unit I have.

From what I’ve read, I’m under the impression the the Bionic will come with a 2 Ghz dual-core processor…That’s the main reason why the release date has been moved back further and further. They can’t seem to find a battery that would support that massive of a processor while keeping the slim shape and size they’re going for.
