Everyone wants to know how the new Motorola Xoom compares to the Apple iPad. Highly regarded since it was introduced last year, the iPad sparked new interest in tablet computers. With the Xoom, Motorola has put together a powerful device with a large screen and capabilities that go beyond the iPad. For example, the Xoom has both front- and rear-facing cameras, while the iPad has no camera. The Xoom’s operating system, Android 3.0, lets the user customize the display with user-friendly widgets that are not available on the iPad.

Wirefly does a quick side-by-side comparison of the Motorola Xoom with the Apple iPad in the video to the right. Click inside the window to run the video.

The Motorola Xoom is available at a great price from Wirefly.

  • I love my Motorola Xoom, My kids both have the Ipad’s, and at first thought I wanted one, but after trying to operate the Ipad I quickly realized that there was no back button and everytime I tried to go back to the previous page I had to start all over….very frustrating, and the Xoom was equipped for Adobe flash and had usb capabilities…I was used to the android system so when I got my Xoom…I had no trouble at all using it…I love it and wouldnt trade for any of the other tablets…

  • its more practical to have the motorola zoom because it has a camera and you can customize the display..:)
