Following in the footsteps of the original LG Shine, which garnered popularity in part because of its striking good looks, the Shine 2 brings a glimmering new member to AT&T’s family of feature phones. The Shine 2 has a sleek stainless steel shell and a crisp 2.2″ display that can easily double as a mirror when not illuminated.
The Shine 2 is more than a pretty face, offering a number of media and entertainment options as well as support for AT&T’s high speed 3G network for fast web browsing and streaming video. The device’s microSD card slot can support up to a 16GB card, allowing for plenty of space for a healthy music library. The phone is also pre-loaded with a number of applications, including Notifier for Twitter and Facebook access ($2.99/month).
Unfortunately, LG elected not to include a standard 3.5mm headphone jack, instead requiring a pair of microUSB headphones for wired music listening (not included). The Shine 2, however, does support stereo Bluetooth for wireless listening.
