Major carriers have carried tablets for some time, but high prices have kept them out of reach for many people. With the introduction of the ZTE Optik on Sprint, that price barrier has tumbled down to the land of affordability. And the Optik has strong specs that defy its affordable price, including a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 16GB of onboard storage and a seven-inch 1280 x 800-pixel LCD display. Running on Sprint’s 3G network, the ZTE Optik is well-built and uses Google’s tablet-friendly Android 3.2 operating system.

In this two-part video review, Wirefly’s Bob Kovacs takes a detailed look at the ZTE Optic, including its benchmark performance, camera quality and all-around usability. Click on the video window to see part-1 of the two-part review, then you can click on this link to see part-2 of the review.
