Verizon Wireless recently topped all carriers in a study by the prestigious J.D. Power and Associates marketing information company. The study surveyed more than 27,250 cellular subscribers across the country. Conducted during the second half of 2010, Verizon Wireless had the highest score in 44 U.S. states plus the District of Columbia. Consumers were polled on their experiences with dropped calls, static, failed connections, distortion, echo and other performance problems. It might have snowed in Las Vegas earlier this week, but manufacturers of smartphones are now at the CES and turning up the heat in just about every possible way. Just yesterday, HTC and Sprint made a widely publicised announcement unveiling the HTC EVO Shift for Sprint's 4G WiMax network. Today, HTC joined with AT&T in announcing the HTC Inspire 4G, which uses AT&T's HSPA+ network to achieve data speeds similar to Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless. Read More
