BlackBerry fans rejoice. RIM has released App World version 1.1, offering some much needed organizational improvements, the ability to save downloaded applications to a microSD card, and support for nine additional countries.
Discovering new applications is no longer the challenge it once was. App World users can now view the top 25 free and paid applications. When searching for applications, it’s now possible to filter results by newest, name, price, vendor, popularity and relevance.
App World users can also archive downloaded and purchased applications on a microSD card. Unfortunately, applications can only be saved to the card for later installation, but not run without re-installing to internal memory.
App World version 1.1 brings applications to Ireland, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Luxembourg, Netherlands, and Portugal.
Existing App World users will be notified that an upgrade is ready and waiting by a the usual bright red star. New users can follow Wirefly’s video tutorial.
