Tired of trying to keep up with all your phone numbers: work, personal, home, etc.? Well leave it to Google to once again solve all your worries with the launch of “Google Voice.”
Google Voice is a service that gives you one number for all your phones, voicemail that is as easy as email, and many enhanced calling features like call blocking and screening, voicemail transcripts, call conferencing, international calls, and more.
The Internet search giant will offer you one number for all your phones. When someone calls your Google voice number, all your devices will ring at the same time. The best part of this new feature from Google is that if you miss or ignore a call and someone leaves you a voicemail, Google Voice transcribes the message into an email, which is sent directly to your G-mail email account. This enables you to skip the annoying process of listening to voicemails, and just read emails…how convenient!
Top that off with the feature allowing you to record phone calls and listen to them later so you don’t miss any details (Google Voice notifies both parties before recording begins).
Best of all, these three great features from Google Voice will be absolutely free. Google Voice is currently available to only a lucky preview audience, but is expected to be widely available in the next few weeks. Check out Google’s Official Blog for more.
