After hours of waiting in line to claim their pre-ordered iPhone 3GS, or anxiously awaiting the elusive UPS truck that was first scheduled to have the 3GS in buyer’s hands on Wednesday, proud consumers finally have their hands on the new Apple iPhone 3GS. I myself momentarily waited in line this morning at Northern Virginia’s Tysons Corner Apple Store, video camera in hand. Unfortunately, Tysons Corner apparently frowns on the use of video cameras in the mall, and I was politely asked to leave (OK, I was escorted to my car by a rather intimidating security guard). I did manage, however, to get a few 6am shots of an empty mall and a growing line outside the Apple store before it all went down. Theatrics aside, we did manage to snag our very own 3GS and we are proud to bring you among the web’s first unboxings of the iPhone 3GS. Enjoy.
