Verizon Wireless just turned on its long-awaited 4G high-speed wireless network using a technology called Long-Term Evolution (LTE). The first two devices to run on Verizon’s LTE network are both USB modems that plug into computers, including the Pantech UML290. Wirefly just posted a video showing the unboxing of the Pantech UML290 USB Modem on its YouTube channel, which you can see by clicking on the video window below.
LTE promises to provide wireless data speeds that are much faster than Verizon’s existing 3G network. A future Wirefly video will demonstrate the speed of the Pantech modem and LTE, but for now you can share in this viewing and initial overview.
The Pantech UML290 LTE modem for Verizon Wireless is now on sale at Wirefly.
