Motorola's Android Pair

According to Android aficionado site Android and Me, Motorola is looking to make a splash with its pair of Android smartphones scheduled to debut this fall. The Moto Morrison and Moto Sholes, expected to grace T-Mobile’s and Verizon’s lineups respectively, will reportedly offer some impressive specs that may leave the myTouch 3G feeling painfully ordinary just a few short months after it was released amid much fanfare.

While these specs are far from confirmed, they nevertheless are likely to be making Apple and Palm squirm just a little bit.

Motorola Morrison (T-Mobile)

Reportedly, the Morrison will be equipped with a Qualcomm 528 MHz CPU (same as the G1?), 256MB RAM, 512MB on-board flash memory and support for up to a 32GB microSD card, 320×480 HVGA display, accelerometer, magnetometer (compass), proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, WiFi, Bluetooth v2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, GPS, 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and camcorder and support for email protocols including POP3, IMAP4, Exchange ActiveSync.

Motorola Sholes (Verizon)

The Sholes is said to be sporting a 600 MHz ARM Cortex, 256 MB RAM, 512MB on-board flash memory and support for up to a 32GB microSD card, 3.7-inch 854×480 resolution touch display display, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth v2.0, and a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus and camcorder. Chances are the Sholes will also feature the same goodies found on the Morrison not specifically mentioned in this set of leaked specs.
