Good news to all iPhone users! Google Fi is now finally allowing its users on iPhone devices to use 5G connectivity instead of LTE.
The announcement, made by 9to5Google, reveals that this is a new feature that has only come to iPhone devices today. This means that if you are an iPhone user on Google Fi, you’ll finally be able to connect with 5G and experience its fast connection.
In order to get started, your iPhone device needs to run on the latest iOS 16.4 update. You will also need to have an iPhone 12 or newer model, since the older devices don’t come with 5G connectivity.
Once you have updated your device to the recently released OS version, you will need to turn on 5G. You can do this by going to Settings > Cellular Data Options > Voice and Data > choose 5G Auto. This will give you access to T-Mobile’s 5G network.
So if you are an iPhone user on Fi, this just might be the good news that you’ve been waiting for.
