Q. Do I Have to Switch to a New AT&T Phone If I'm a Current Cingular Customer?

Your Cingular phone will be compatible with AT&T wireless service. There is no need to replace your cell phone for the transition in order for your wireless service to continue working. As the company introduces new services and technologies, however, you may choose to take advantage of these enhancements by upgrading your Cingular phone to a newer model. If you are eligible for an upgrade, you can receive your new cell phone at a big discount over the retail price.

Q. Am I Eligible to Upgrade From Cingular Wireless to an AT&T Mobility Phone Plan?

Not all existing Cingular customers will qualify for an upgrade today. In order to qualify for a special cell phone deal with a Cingular contract extension, or to qualify for a phone upgrade with a new AT&T plan if you're already a Cingular/AT&T customer:

• You must either be out of contract with Cingular (i.e., you're on a month-to-month agreement) or have less then three (3) months remaining on your existing Cingular contract.
• You must have a good billing record with Cingular/AT&T with no outstanding balances or late fees.
• You must agree to extend your cell phone contract by 12 or 24 months (depending on the type of upgrade/extension you choose.)

Q. Who Determines Whether I'm Eligible for a Cingular Upgrade?

Eligibility requirements are solely determined by AT&T Mobility. AT&T determines whether Cingular customers qualify to extend their contracts or upgrade based on factors including, but not limited to: usage history, payment history and previous phone replacements.
