Starting Wednesday September 10, the HTC One (M8) smartphone will be getting an update on its Android operating system. It is not quite Android 4.4.4 yet, but owners of the device should still have plenty of reason to enjoy the updated.
Starting today, Sprint subscribers can now get hold of the HTC One (E8) smartphone. Through its newsroom page, the carrier announced that customers can buy the device online via the Sprint Web Sales website or through telesales. For subscribers who qualify for Sprint Easy Pay, they can buy the HTC One (E8) handset with $0.00 down (including taxes) and payments of $20.84 each month for two years. The carrier added further that the device will be available in Misty Gray and Polar White colors.
Even on the eve of HTC's scheduled event in New York City, the leaks continue to pour in, especially with regards to the HTC One M8 for Windows smartphone.
The Taiwan-based company was supposed to debut the One M8 for Windows phone during their upcoming event in the Big Apple on August 19, but it appears that HTC enthusiasts may be getting an advance notice as to when and where they'll be able to get their hands on the device.
The plastic version of HTC One E8 is going to be introduced in the United States market after all, according to a promotional video posted in the official YouTube channel of Sprint.
When HTC One E8 was first released in the market, it was positioned as a low-cost alternative to the HTC One M8, the flagship mobile phone of HTC. Users who bought the plastic-clad One E8 enjoyed a more budget-friendly option to the One M8, which featured an aluminum body. But those buyers were only limited to China and Southeast Asia, the only regions where the plastic version was available.
Earlier today, Verizon Wireless tweeted some news that many Android fans have been waiting on pins and needles to hear. “It’s coming – the HTC One will be available on the #Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network later this summer #HTCOne @htcusa”.
