Here is some good news for those eyeing to buy the Apple Watch but failed to secure one online or never got to make a reservation. Apple's first ever smartwatch is coming to retail stores within the next two weeks.
Apple itself made the announcement, which should delight interested buyers who have been wondering for several months now when the wearable device will become available on retail stores. Apart from arriving in retail stores in the next few weeks, the Apple Watch will also be made available in seven additional countries, including Mexico, Italy, Spain, Taiwan, and South Korean, beginning on June 26th of this year.
As for those who already purchased the Apple Watch through online means, Apple has revealed that orders that were placed through the month of May by way of Apple's online store will be shipping to customers within a couple of weeks. This applies to all Apple Watch orders, except for the 42 millimeter Space Black Stainless Steel with Space Black Link Bracelet Apple Watch variant, whose shipping information as of now is still to be announced. Anyone who buys this variant today will be notified that their orders will ship in five or six weeks, as indicated in Apple's online store.
For those not in the know, the Apple Watch basically comes in three versions -- the entry level Apple Watch Sport which starts at $349, the midrange Apple Watch which starts at $549, and the luxury Apple Watch Edition which starts at $10,000. Apple first introduced its only smartwatch back in September of 2014, and officially launched it in April 24th of this year in the United States and the United Kingdom, and then subsequently offered it to France, Germany, Hong Kong, and China, among many other countries.
During the first few weeks after the Apple Watch was launched, many reports suggested that Apple has having inventory issues regarding its wearable device. It did not help that Apple was openly encouraging interested buyers to order online or make a reservation instead of buying the wearable device at retail stores. The company eventually announced that walk in customers can expect to buy the Apple Watch at retail stores in June -- about two months after the smartwatch was launched.
Well, Apple certainly made good on its word. By becoming available in retail stores for walk in buyers, the Apple Watch should be more accessible to even more customers, which could possibly boost its sales even more. Industry watchers are already saying that Apple's wearable device could galvanize the entire smartwatch industry. With this latest development, it appears that the Apple Watch is now in an even better position to do just that.
