Good news for those who can not wait to get Apple's first ever wearable device. The Apple Watch is set to be launched in stores all across the United States in March.
As reported by 9to5Mac, Apple is planning a wide release for the Apple Watch on the later part of March this year. Retail employees are reportedly gearing up to undergo training in the middle of the month of February.
9to5Mac's sources further revealed that some senior staff members from specific Apple Stores are expecting to spend considerable time either at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California, or at the tech giant's offices in Austin,Texas for extensive hands-on training and familiarization with Apple's smartwatch.
Their training is purportedly set to happen on February 9th to February 16th. Once their training is done, they will proceed to cascade their Apple Watch expertise to their respective staff members in time for the wearable device's release in late March.
Just two months away from the release of its smartwatch product, Apple itself is busy polishing and finalizing the Apple Watch. The wearable device is reportedly is currently undergoing comprehensive testing and tweaking, both for its hardware and software system. 9to5Mac even reports that Apple is working on enhancing the smartwatch's inductive charging mechanism.
The Apple Watch is expected to be available in a variety of specific editions with their own specific price tags. But many expect the standard versions to be priced at about $350. As for more exclusive variants of the wearable device, you can bet that they will come with a higher price (at around $1,000 or more).
The Apple Watch was first unveiled by Apple back in September of last year. While not the first smartwatch to be introduced in the last few years, Apple's wearable device truly impresses with its specifications. The Apple Watch features a flexible retina display that comes with a sapphire crystal screen. Right on the side of the device's face is the “digital crown,” which looks like your regular wrist watch crown, but actually offers more in terms of functionality. Apart from serving as the home screen button, it also allows users to browse through menu options without having their view of the watch face blocked.
The Apple Watch also comes with built-in sensors that fitness-focused users can take advantage of, especially when used together with the Workout iOS app which measures activity levels, physical exertion levels, and other fitness metrics.
Apple's wearable device also comes with a number of apps that display alerts, notifications, time, and even messages.
