It seems that Boost Mobile, a subsidiary of Sprint, is also joining in on the fun. The prepaid brand has just recently announced that they will be launching a promo (limited-time only) for users who want to enjoy more data without paying too much charges.
The promo, which will run from September 3 until November 3 of this year, promises to slash rates on its Monthly Unlimited Select plans by $5.00, at the same time, increase the high-speed 4G data usage two-fold for each plan user.
Additionally, the offer is open to both existing and new customers who decide to sign up for the plan within the promo period. Those who do avail of the offer will be delighted to know that even though the promo is only open for a period of one month, they can still enjoy the double data usage indefinitely provided that they keep their plans active.
Here is the full list of the revamped rates under the promo:
$35.00 monthly - with unlimited calls and texting, plus 1 gigabyte of high-speed data
$45.00 monthly - with unlimited calls and texting, plus 5 gigabytes of high-speed data
$55.00 monthly - with unlimited calls and texting, plus 10 gigabytes of high-speed data
Every plan comes with unlimited throttled data, that is when all initial high-speed data inclusions are used up. As for international services, users may avail of them as an optional add-on inclusion to their plans.
Customers who want to purchase a new handset and activate it on a Boost Unlimited Select Plan will also be offered a $50.00 account credit from Boost. However, it is not clear at this point if the same is applicable with the Data Boost promo. According to the carrier, the $50.00 account credit is open to users who activate specific devices that qualify for $35 to $60 monthly plans, including the double data Monthly Unlimited Select plans.
The devices that qualify refer to handsets priced at at least $99.99 in the carrier's online store. These usually include Apple, Samsung, LG, Kyocera, and ZTE devices, to name just a few.
When the promo ends after November 3, plans will go back to the regular $40.00 / $50.00 / $60.00 monthly rates. Accordingly, the data inclusions will revert back to their previous usage rates.
During the past few weeks, Sprint has been busy either re-structuring the pricing of its plans or introducing new ones. Just recently, it introduced the $60 Unlimited Plan, which promises unlimited calls, texting, and data for a flat monthly fee of $60.00. The carrier also launched Family Share Pack, a group plan that gives its subscribers and their families double the amount of shared data and up to a maximum of 10 lines of service. And now, with its subsidiary Boost Mobile introducing a new promo on its Monthly Unlimited Select plans, Sprint is definitely continuing to be aggressive in trying to get an edge over its competitors.
