Customers of Boost Mobile who are also music aficionados will no doubt be delighted with the wireless carrier’s latest announcement. The prepaid arm of Sprint has just decided to start offering unlimited music streaming (courtesy of five music streaming service providers) in all of its smartphone plans, absolutely free of charge.
For Boost Mobile customers, this means that they will be able to stream as much musical tracks as they can every month, without having to worry about the music streaming eating away at their plan’s data allotment. So which music streaming service providers are onboard? These include the following:
Pandora -- which streams more songs to listeners than any other music streaming service provider out there, as well as allows customers to create personalized stations and discover new artists easily
8tracks -- which features millions of playlists that are curated by both musicians and music fans alike
iHeartRadio -- which seems to have everything covered, from streaming music to digital radio services, plus on-demand podcasts and tracks that customers can enjoy uninterrupted
Samsung Milk Music -- which brings more than 200 music stations, and also an intuitive feature that makes it possible for customers to search for tracks that suit their current mood and preferences
Slacker Radio -- which allows users to construct their own personalized radio stations, or select from a wide range of station categories, including music, sports, or news
Boost Mobile is making unlimited music streaming available to all of its customers, and it can even be merged with the wireless carrier’s brand new Growing Data service. For those not in the know, Boost Mobile’s Growing Data is a new feature that gives bonus monthly data to customers who complete their payments on time, with the extra monthly data growing to 3 gigabytes of high speed data every month. Also, note that the prepaid plans being offered by Boost Mobile start at $30 a month for 2 gigabytes of LTE data, and come with unlimited voice calls, text messaging, and throttled data. For those who want to get unlimited LTE data, they can always choose to avail of the $60 a month plan.
Lots of smaller wireless carriers have been amping their music related inclusions recently. As a matter of fact, Virgin Mobile, another subsidiary of Sprint’s, added unlimited music streaming to its plans back in October earlier this year, and also featured services provided by Pandora, iHeartRadio, Slacker, and now also 8tracks and Samsung Milk Music.
