The fourth biggest wireless carrier in America has officially rebranded its Sprint Prepaid brand into Sprint Forward. The new prepaid brand promises 4 gigabytes of high speed data for $40 a month, as well as an unlimited version that costs $60 a month. As explained by Oscar Meza, a spokesperson for Sprint, the new Sprint Forward brand was first created a month ago, and was designed for mobile users who are looking to get a wireless plan that comes with a flexible pay in advance set up.
Apart from the unlimited voice calls and text messaging and unlimited data, the new Sprint Forward brand will also be offering instant discounts on handsets, without any device financing, with customers never have to worry about running credit. What is cool is that whether the customer is only one person or a group or family, they can enjoy most of the network benefits offered by Sprint. In other words, Sprint Forward aims to bring customers both flexibility and access to the best device financing special offers, without having to undergo any credit check, as long as they successfully complete the first 12 straight monthly payments on time.
Among its plans, Sprint Forward has a family option together with its $40 individual line plan, and it charges $70 a month for a couple of lines of service, and then a hundred bucks for three lines. Some may have already noticed that the $60 a month unlimited Sprint Forward prepaid option can not be found on Sprint’s official website. But according to Meza, the deal does exist, offering unlimited voice calls, text messaging, and data, with mobile optimized streaming video content, musical tracks, and games.
The last few weeks have seen Sprint busy making changes to its prepaid business. Perhaps the most notable is the recent relaunching of its Virgin Mobile prepaid arm just a few days ago. To recap, Virgin has now been transformed into an iPhone only carrier, and is kicking off things with a promotional deal that offers a full year of unlimited data for just $1 to customers who decide to purchase an iPhone device and then port their phone number to the mobile operator’s new Inner Circle plan not later than July 31st of this year, or to existing Virgin customers who opt to upgrade to an iPhone. The special offer will only be made available by way of Virgin’s official website and at Apple’s retail outlets.
