One of the hottest tech events, the Mobile World Congress, is about to take place in Barcelona, Spain in a few days. And as the date comes closer, smartphone manufacturers are sending out invites and teasers for the devices they are gearing up to debut during the event. Today, we are treated to a mysterious video teaser from Huawei. Although the video does not directly show the P10 smartphone Huawei is expected to launch at MWC, many can not help but make this connection.
The trailer features the words "Change the way the world sees you" in between views of a hashtag and a pair of eyes. The ending, if anything, is the only place where the name of the Huawei P10 is revealed in its entirety. Based on the hashtag and the two eyes seen in the video, it could be a clue that the upcoming device will also sport dual cameras, just like the Huawei P9 (the P10’s predecessor) did, too.
Other than dual cameras, the P10 is rumored to be available in two models -- the P10 and the larger P10 Plus. These two devices is said to feature a 5.5 inch QHD screen, with a curved edge design on the P10 Plus. Apart from this, the P10 Plus is believed to have a better processor, 4 to 6 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM), and 32 to 128 gigabytes of storage compared to the regular model. More details about the P10 are expected to be revealed as February 26th gets closer.
Another rumor that is going on is that Huawei is currently working on its own smart assistant that will be the next competitor of Apple's Siri, Amazon's Alexa, and Google's Assistant. Bloomberg recently reported on this and divulged information that over a hundred people have been employed in Shenzhen, China to develop the smart assistant technology. If this proves to be true, Huawei will be just one of the many Android manufacturers that have opted against using Google Assistant. Perhaps Huawei will also address this smart assistant rumor on their MWC 2017 event. The Mobile World Congress is set to take place in the beautiful city of Barcelona in Spain on February 27th to March 2nd of this year.
Meanwhile, for Huawei fans who can not wait for the P10, they can check out the Mate 9 phablet, which the Chinese phone maker released in the US mobile market more than a month ago.
