Now in its third week, T-Mobile Tuesdays is a new mobile app from T-Mobile that aims to grant lots of giveaways every Tuesday to the wireless carrier’s subscribers for their loyalty. But it appears that this latest program from T-Mobile continues to experience some issues. Just quite recently, there are reports that customers are complaining that the app is not launching at all, while other users are saying that many of the freebies promised by the mobile service provider did not show up on the app.
John Legere, the chief executive officer of T-Mobile, tried to downplay the impact of the difficulties related to the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app via a tweet. But it is hard to deny that too many struggles this early is already forcing the wireless carrier to make some dramatic adjustments. For instance, just today, Legere has revealed that T-Mobile is planning to extend most of this week’s freebie offers until Friday.
Which offers exactly are included this week? There is the free small Frosty from Wendy’s, a free ride (up to $15) courtesy of Lyft, a $20 coupon from Major League Baseball’s online shop (MLB.com), and a free movie rental from Vudu. For those who are still looking to take advantage of any one of these giveaways, they may still need to make use of the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app in order to get hold of the codes.
Some mobile users also expressed their frustration upon learning too late that Domino’s Pizza had backed out of the free pizza offer originally promised by T-Mobile’s rewards program. As indicated on an email message that was publicly tweeted by Legere, Domino’s Pizza apparently had major concerns regarding how it could keep up with the massive volume of possibly ravenous mobile users looking to get some free pizza, so it just decided it would not have anything to do with the deal anymore.
It seems that the third biggest wireless carrier in the United States may have underestimated the quantity of customers who want to grab free pizza. What is worse is that it turned out that every participating Domino’s branch is only capable of providing 100 free pizzas. Now bear in mind that, as revealed by Legere himself, over a couple of million subscribers of T-Mobile have already downloaded the T-Mobile Tuesdays mobile app. So apart from dealing with crashes and issues in launching the app, almost certainly, not all customers will be able to avail of the free pizza deal.
