Asus recently took the opportunity to officially announce five new additions to its ZenFone family of smartphone devices. Everybody, meet the new ZenFone 4 lineup of handsets, which include the ZenFone 4 Pro, the ZenFone 4, the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro, the ZenFone 4 Selfie, and the ZenFone 4 Max Pro. Basically, here is what everyone needs to know -- all five devices are equipped with a dual camera configuration, with one variant utilizing the set up for 2X optical zoom, while the other four using it to capture super wide angle shots on the rear side or on the front side.
First things first, the ZenFone 4 Pro and the ZenFone 4. The ZenFone 4 Pro comes with a 2X zoom dual camera, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 chip set, and the 500 nit, 5.5 inch 1,080 pixel resolution, AMOLED display screen also found on the ZenFone 3 Zoom. Perhaps the biggest difference between the new ZenFone 4 model and its predecessor is the use of a design that incorporates glass (the ZenFone 3 Zoom featured an all metal frame). Also the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the front side (same with the newly released ZenFone AR). As for the ZenFone 4, it is fitted with the Snapdragon 660 or the Snapdragon 660 processor and has a smaller battery compared to the ZenFone 4 Pro. Also, it has an LCD screen compared to the ZenFone 4 Pro’s AMOLED.
Now for the ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro and the ZenFone 4 Selfie variants, one can tell by their names that they were designed for selfie enthusiasts. Thus, the phones take full advantage of a dual camera set up on the front side. The ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro is easily recognizable due to its stylish aluminum body. It features an eight core Snapdragon 625 processor and a 3,000 mAh battery. Although the ZenFone 4 Selfie has a metal design too, it looks closer to the ZenFone 3 Zoom. It packs a Snapdragon 430 processor, and a 5.5 inch LCD screen.
The last new ZenFone handset is the ZenFone 4 Max Pro. It is equipped with a huge 5,000 mAh battery, plus twin cameras on the rear side for super wide angle shots. Although it only has a four core Snapdragon 425 processor, it does boast a 16 megapixel camera for both the front side camera and the main rear side camera.
