Starting this weekend, Cricket Wireless is offering Motorola’s Moto E5 Supra for a price of $179.99 online and at a select number of retail outlets. The phablet can be purchased by both current and new customers of the prepaid wireless service provider.
Let us tackle the basic specifications first -- the Moto E5 Supra is fitted with a fairly big 6 inch HD+ Max Vision display screen, paired with a 12 megapixel main camera (with LED flash and FHD video) on the rear side as well as an 8 megapixel selfie shooter (also with LED flash) on the front side.
As far as hardware specs are concerned, the Moto E5 Supra packs a 1.4 GigaHertz eight core chip set, with up to 32 gigabytes of built in memory, which can be further expanded up to 128 gigabytes by way of a micro SD card slot. The phablet is powered by Google’s Android 8.0 Oreo mobile operating system, features a mighty 5,000 mAh battery, and comes with hearing aid compatibility (rated for hearing aids M4 and T3).
Motorola has also done fairly well in showering the Moto E5 Supra with some interesting special Motorola features. For example, the Moto Display feature allows users to always know the time, as well as read and reply to alerts immediately and easily, and even manage audio track playback without needing to unlock the screen.
Then there is the Moto Actions feature, which basically lets users do quick gestures for certain tasks, such as activating the flashlight, launching the camera, or muting incoming phone calls or alerts. As for the TurboPower feature, it allows the Moto E5 Supra to recharge for only 15 minutes and gain six hours of normal use.
By the way, Cricket Wireless is also conducting a Refer a Friend set up in which a current customer of the prepaid mobile operator can enjoy savings of up to $250 every year on their wireless bill. Indeed, with each referral, the existing Cricket customer can receive a $25 account credit. These credits can then be used towards service and features on the customer’s Cricket account.

The Moto E5 Supra should be a welcome addition to the Moto E5 family of handsets that Motorola had first introduced more than a month ago, along with a new generation of Moto G smartphone devices. Apart from its latest Moto E and Moto G offerings, Motorola also found the time to update its Moto Z series, with the official unveiling of the Moto Z3 Play over a couple of weeks ago.
