Sprint is introducing a new trade in arrangement in which customers can bring their existing smartphone and exchange it for any one of two Samsung handsets: a 32 gigabyte edition of the Samsung Galaxy S6 or a 32 gigabyte edition of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5. The best part of the deal is that customers who trade in their devices will get a discount in the amount of $200 on the full price of either Galaxy handset. In order to qualify for this special offer, customers must get their new Galaxy smartphone via Sprint’s Lease program over 24 months.
Those who avail of this latest trade in deal from Sprint will now get to have the Galaxy S6 at only $9.67 a month (or $232 over a period of two years), and the Galaxy Note 5 at just $16.67 a month (or a total of $400 over a 24 month period). A 32 gigabyte version of the Galaxy S6 is usually priced at $18 a month via Sprint’s Lease program, while a 32 gigabyte variant of the Galaxy Note 5 is available for a fee of $25 a month. For those not familiar with Sprint’s Lease program, it basically lets subscribers lease a new handset for a lesser monthly price over a period of a couple of years, plus the option to purchase when the 24 month contract is finished.
To really take advantage of Sprint’s newest trade in deal, mobile users will have to fully own their trade in handset, which means that there should be no leased mobile devices, or handsets with payments owing). Moreover, customers will have to make sure their trade in device is in good working condition.
As for those who are not subscribed to Sprint but are considering switching to its network (either from Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and T-Mobile), they are free to merge this trade in deal with Sprint’s cut your bill in half special offer, which is still made available for the next few days. The cut your bill in half promo was actually brought back by Sprint in November of last year after having introduced it for a limited only back in 2014. The promo was supposed to run until January 8th, but the wireless carrier has since extended it, but apparently until February 11th of this year only, so interested takers better take advantage of it now. Basically, the promo offers to lower the bills of subscribers of rival carriers by half if they elect to switch to Sprint’s network.
