T-Mobile was supposed to launch the Nexus 6 in early November, but decided to delay the launch date to sometime in late November. For sure, the delayed launch had some customers frustrated, especially those looking forward to get the device at T-Mobile.
Well, the wait is over -- the carrier has finally made the Nexus 6 available in its stores. Like other major carriers, T-Mobile is offering the Midnight Blue version of the Nexus 6. Unlike other carriers though, T-Mobile is providing options for 32 gigabyte and 64 gigabyte editions.
Customers can buy the 32 gigabyte edition for $0 down and 24 regular payments of $27.08 per month. AS for the 64 gigabyte edition, buyers can purchase it for $0 down and 24 regular payments of $29.16 each month.
It should be noted that the Nexus 6 phablet does not have a micro SD slot to support additional storage. This means getting the 64 gigabyte edition for two bucks more per month may be worth it, especially if you are the type that needs or prefers bigger built-in storage.
Also, you might notice that after making all the monthly payments, you would be paying the same price for each as you would if you purchased an unlocked Nexus 6 directly from Google Play, wherein the 32 gigabyte edition costs $649, while the 64 gigabyte edition costs $699. It should be a comfort knowing that T-Mobile is not jacking up the price.
Standard shipping time for the Nexus 6 is estimated at two to 4 days. However, if you want to your Nexus 6 to arrive earlier on your doorstep, you can opt for the overnight service, which charges an extra $12. Also, it is not clear just how many units T-Mobile is selling. So it might be a good idea to make your orders now or as soon as you can.
Among the Nexus devices, the Nexus 6 is the first one that can be considered a phablet. Perhaps its most distinguishing feature is its huge 6-inch 2560 by 1440 resolution AMOLED display screen. Among popular phablets available in the market today, the Nexus 6 may hold the title of the largest display screen.
Apart from its very large display screen, the Nexus 6 has some pretty impressive specifications. It packs a 2.7 GigaHertz Snapdragon 805 chipset, supported with 3 gigabytes of random access memory (RAM). It also has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear which comes with a nifty optical image stabilization feature.
