Samsung recently announced that the Galaxy Note Edge will be coming to the United States on November 14th of this year.
The Galaxy Note Edge was first introduced by the South Korean phone maker back in September. At the time of the device's unveiling, the mobile manufacturing giant had stated that the uniquely designed smartphone would hit US stores sometime in fall. Unfortunately for fans of the device, no release date was ever announced.
But now, Samsung has finally given future buyers of the Galaxy Note Edge a date that they can all look forward to. And that date is on Friday, November 14th, less than two weeks from now.
And it appears that the device will be offered by all four major wireless carriers in America, namely AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon Wireless, plus US Cellular. In addition to that, Samsung Experience Shops located in Best Buy stores will also be pushing the Galaxy Note Edge.
AT&T (which recently revealed it was releasing a bunch of new devices on November 7th) has stated that they will be selling the Galaxy Note Edge for $400 with a two-year agreement, or $946 off-contract. As for those who will buy the device through an AT&T Next plan, they can get the phone for $0 down, then $39.42 or $47.30 each month (depending on the plan they choose).
Via Sprint, customers can purchase the Galaxy Note Edge on the Sprint Easy Pay plan, which offers the phone for $0 down, and then monthly payments of $35 for a period of two years ($840 in total for 24 months).
T-Mobile's offer for the Galaxy Note Edge is similar to Sprint's. But it involves paying $36.25 per month for a total of $870 for 24 months. As of this writing, there is no available pricing details yet from Verizon Wireless and US Cellular, but they should make their announcements any day now.
The next two weeks should be exciting for users who can not wait to buy their own Galaxy Note Edge phones. There certainly is plenty to fawn over regarding the device. Chief among them is the phone's unique design, which features a 5.6-inch display screen that curves around the side of the device. The curved side can display quick notifications and even serve as a repository for app shortcuts.
Will the curved screen become a hit for American users? That remains to be seen. But it goes without saying that Samsung is undoubtedly optimistic. Otherwise, the Galaxy Note Edge would not have enjoyed a wide release in US shores.
