Switching campaigns do not get as direct as T-Mobile’s latest one. Aptly named #GetOutOfTheRed, the latest deal from the third biggest wireless carrier in the United States is targeted at existing subscribers of Verizon Wireless. Specifically, the special offer allows switching mobile users from the Big Red to keep their smartphone and then get it paid off in full.
Beginning on May 31st, any Verizon subscribers who decides to sign up for a T-Mobile One unlimited data plan and Premium Device Protection Plus plan will be able to use his qualified handset on T-Mobile’s network. And if the customer still owes payment on his qualified phone, he can get it paid off in full, whether the remaining balance is due or not. Speaking of devices, which handsets exactly are deemed eligible? These include Apple’s iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone SE devices, and Google’s Pixel and Pixel XL devices.
Furthermore, in order to take full advantage of this new promotional deal, interested parties will have to sign up for both the T-Mobile One unlimited option and the Premium Device Protection Plus plan, which is normally priced between $12 and $15 a month, depending on the type of qualified handset being brought in.
Also, customers need to remember that they will have to pay up for early termination fees, in the amount of $350. Lastly, subscribers from Verizon Wireless must have signed up under the Big Red for at least a couple of months (60 days) and their account must be in good standing in order to become eligible for the special offer.
All things considered, T-Mobile’s latest offer is certainly not bad. For one, it gives switching subscribers from Verizon Wireless an excellent opportunity to be able to keep their current device. For T-Mobile, it has always taken pride in being the most aggressive one among the Big Four wireless carriers in America, which apart from itself and Verizon, also include AT&T and Sprint. With this deal, T-Mobile get to be T-Mobile (and be consistent with its branding), while luring away customers from its rival. T-Mobile also continues its track record of being the one to introduce new deals and approaches with regards to delivering wireless service to consumers. All-in pricing structures, international voice call inclusions, and data free streaming are only some of its most innovative things it has debuted in recent years.
