US Cellular, GoSmart Upgrade Their Prepaid Plans

A few days ago, Cricket Wireless announced that it has increased the data on its Basic, Smart, and Pro plans, and even introduced a new Advanced plan with a limited-time-only $60 price.

Well, Cricket Wireless is not the only carrier that is making changes on its prepaid plans in order to attract new customers. It appears that US Cellular and GoSmart are joining in on the fun, too.

For regional carrier US Cellular, it has made adjustments to the pricing structure and data allotments of its prepaid Simple Connect plans. Indeed, the upgraded plans now have the following prices and inclusions:

• $45 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 1 gigabyte of high-speed data
• $55 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 2 gigabytes of high-speed data
• $65 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 4 gigabytes of high-speed data

Before, prepaid customers of US Cellular paid $50 every month in order to get 500 megabytes of high-speed data, or $60 every month in order to get 2 gigabytes. But now that US Cellular's pricing structure has been loosened a bit and the data allotments bumped up, customers can be more flexible with their budgets and enjoy more high-speed data on a monthly basis.

Also, US Cellular is giving every new customer who signs up for a Simple Connect plan a bonus prepaid card worth $50. Customers can use this prepaid card to purchase devices and accessories. This special offer, however, is for a limited time only.

As for GoSmart, this prepaid brand of T-Mobile's is also making changes to its prepaid plans. Basically, GoSmart now offers more than twice the high-speed data compared before:

• $25 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, but no included cellular data; unlimited access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger available at LTE speeds
• $35 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 2.5 gigabytes of data at 3G speeds; unlimited access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger
• $40 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 6 gigabytes of data at 3G speeds; unlimited access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger
• $45 every month -- Includes unlimited calls, unlimited text messaging, and unlimited data, with 10 gigabytes of data at 3G speeds; unlimited access to Facebook and Facebook Messenger

Cricket Wireless, US Cellular, and GoSmart now joins T-Mobile, Verizon, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, and Virgin Mobile in offering re-structured or upgraded prepaid plans.
