Verizon has announced that it too will be updating its More Everything plan. Beginning tomorrow, November 1st, Verizon customers under either the $80 or $100 More Everything plan will get to enjoy additional data.
The $80 More Everything plan previously included 6 gigabytes of data. But with Verizon's latest data allotment increase, users under this plan will receive up to 10 gigabytes of data.
As for the $100 More Everything plan, what used to be 10 gigabytes of data will soon be bumped up to 15 gigabytes.
Plus, Verizon Wireless is making this boosted data allotment offer available to both new and current subscribers.
And the increase in monthly data is not all of it. Verizon Wireless is also offering a $150 port-in credit to any subscriber that switches from another carrier and either signs up for a new plan (with a two-year agreement), or signs up under the Verizon Wireless Edge program.
Both the updated More Everything plan and port-in credit offers are "limited time" promos only, so Verizon users should not treat them as permanent changes in the carrier's plans or offers. However, it is definitely not a bad idea for them to take advantage of these promos while they are still open.
With this recent development, Verizon is clearly responding to AT&T's offer announced just hours earlier. By comparison, AT&T's enhanced Mobile Share Value plans offer customers 3 gigabytes (up from the previous 2 gigabytes) of high-speed 4G LTE data for $40 a month, and another 6 gigabytes (up from the previous 4 gigabytes) of data for $70 a month. Aside from upping data, AT&T has also decided to extend the Double Data offer on Mobile Share Value plans from 15 gigabytes to 50 gigabytes until November 15th.
As of this writing, it is not clear yet whether Sprint and T-Mobile will also be announcing any special promos. As for the users, especially those who are data-hungry, be they under AT&T or Verizon, they can certainly benefit from the increased data allotments of the two competing carriers' plans.
