The recent Unpacked event saw Samsung officially introduce two new phablets -- the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge+, as well as other new features. And if that is not good news enough, it appears that Samsung fans will have another reason to be giddy about because they can now pre-order the two new devices. Here is the rundown:
Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless is selling the 32 gigabyte Galaxy Note 5 at $696 full price, or $29 monthly over 24 months via its new equipment installment plan. The 64 gigabyte edition is at $792 full price, and at $33 monthly over two years.
The 32 gigabyte Galaxy S6 Edge+ costs $768 full price, with an installment option of $32 monthly over 24 months, while the 64 gigabyte edition costs $36 over 24 months, or $864 full price.
AT&T. AT&T is offering the 32 gigabyte edition of the Galaxy Note 5 for a full price of $739.99 and $249.99 on a two year agreement. For those who want an early upgrade option, the wireless carrier provides three $0 down Next options for the Galaxy Note 5, starting at $24.67 a month over a period of 30 months, with an upgrade available at 24 months. Customers can also go for $30.84 a month over 24 months and then upgrade at 18 months, or choose to pay $37 a month over 20 months and then trade up after 12 months. The 64 gigabyte edition of the Galaxy Note 5 is available for $839.99 full price, or $349.99 on contract. Via AT&T Next, customers will pay $28 over 30 months, $35 over 24 months, or $42 over 20 months.
As for the Galaxy S6 Edge+, the 32 gigabye edition goes for $814.99 full price and $299.99 on contract. On Next, pay $27.17 a month over 30 months, $33.96 over 24 months, and $40.75 over 20 months. For the 64 gigabyte edition, pay $30.50 over 30 months via Next, $38.13 over 24 months, and $45.75 over 20 months. On contract, pay $399.99 upfront, or buy it at full price of $914.99.
T-Mobile. While T-Mobile has opened pre-registration for both devices (they will be made available in stores August 21st, the specific pricing has not been revealed yet. But if customers register by August 20th and purchase any of the devices by September 30th, they will get a free whole year of Netflix as a treat.
Sprint. On Sprint, customers can buy both devices via Sprint Lease and Easy Pay plans. Via Sprint Lease, the 32 gigabyte Galaxy Note 5 is offered at $25 monthly over 24 months, and via Easy Pay, $30 monthly over 24 months. The 64 gigabyte is available for $30 monthly on Sprint Lease over 24 months, and $34 monthly on Easy Pay over 24 months.
Getting the 32 gigabyte Galaxy S6 Edge+ on Sprint Lease involves paying $30 monthly, and on Easy Pay, $33 monthly. As for the 64 gigabyte edition, pay $35 monthly via Sprint lease over 24 months, and $37 monthly over two years on Easy Pay.
Both handsets can be ordered now, with expected shipping date at August 14th.
