Sprint, specifically by way of its Sprint Foundation, has formally announced the first initiative of its 1Million Project. Officially kicking off August 15th (to coincide with the 2017-2018 school year, as previously promised), the initiative will provide telecommunications equipment and connectivity to 180,000 students in the United States, especially those coming from low income households. The initiative will also cover over 1,300 schools across 30 states in America.
The fourth biggest wireless carrier in the United States is joining forces with the Sprint Foundation in launching the 1Million Project. This effort is envisioning to give a free mobile phone, plus high speed Internet access, to 1 million high school students, specifically those underprivileged.
