More and more people now are paying for the fries they bought at McDonald’s using their smartphones. Soon, people will be doing it at gas pumps everywhere. Just recently, Visa and Chevron revealed an initiative to bring some of the first gas pumps enabled with mobile payment technology to the state of California.
Apple continues to widen the reach of Apple Pay, the mobile payment system it developed and released this year. And it appears that its next target is getting the payment system working at gas pumps all over the United States.
As recently tweeted by Chevron's official Twitter account, the gas company revealed that it is indeed working with Apple in coming up with a solution to integrate Apple Pay at gas pumps hopefully by the early part of 2015.
