Mobile virtual network operator FreedomPop has apparently inked a collaboration with the second biggest wireless carrier in America. This week, the MVNO is launching SIM cards and an LTE mobile hotspot that will work on AT&T’s network. According to FreedomPop, the new SIM card only costs $10 and can be used on any certified GSM handset in order to gain access to AT&T’s LTE network.
With the rising number of unused smartphones, it is only logical that manufacturers would look for a way these devices can still be appreciated. Banking in on this idea, FreedomPop has recently launched an online store where they will be offering refurbished and used smartphones. The online store is called FreedomShop and is currently available for customers based in the United States, Mexico, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
Mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) FreedomPop has decided to team up with Dish Mexico in order to start providing free wireless services in Mexico. A plan that offers the iPhone 6s with free voice calls, free text messaging, and data to go with it may sound like a deal that is too good to be true. As far as free mobile phone services go, FreedomPop may be considered the first one to offer 100% Free Talk, Text, and Data. It was back in 2012 when the carrier first introduced its completely free wireless service, alongside other very low cost phone plan options that are up to 80% off compared to other major carriers.
