The brand new year has afforded the world’s biggest seller of smartphone devices a chance at redemption after a somewhat epic failure in the last few months, and Samsung is making the most of the opportunity.
Samsung has officially unveiled its newest Galaxy offering -- the Galaxy A9 -- during its Galaxy A Party 2016 event held in China. As far as smartphones from the Galaxy A line of handsets go, the Galaxy A9 may be the most high end device, and certainly will please Samsung fans who are hoping for a smartphone that goes big in just about everything.
It seems like Samsung is getting busy with three new midrange smartphones. As revealed on Wednesday, the South Korean manufacturer is currently working on 2016 editions of the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 -- models that come with advanced cameras, different screen sizes, and high resolution displays.
For years, Samsung has been taking flak over its extensive use of plastics in manufacturing its smartphones. It is only recently that the South Korean phone maker has begun shifting from plastics to metal materials, notably with the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 devices. Now, the company is adding a new member to its line of metal-clad smartphones: the Galaxy A7.
