According to Marcelo Claure, the chief executive officer of Sprint, the wireless carrier will likely continue offering its half off promos throughout the rest of the holiday season. It is quite obvious that the mobile operator’s half off deals are attracting some new sign ups, although sometimes it can be confusing. This is because each half off deal is specifically structured depending on each mobile user and the wireless carrier he is switching from.
Apple also had a pretty good holiday season, in terms of sales generated from its App Store. As a matter of fact, the iPhone maker actually posted record revenue numbers during the last month of 2015. Just this week, the mobile giant reported that iOS users spent over $1.1 billion on mobile apps and in-app purchases over the holidays (ending in January 3rd of 2016), and in the process achieving new records not only in the volume of purchases but also in traffic at the App Store.
Now that the holiday season is fully underway, it is no surprise that various wireless carriers are introducing specials offers here and there designed to attract new subscribers. Sprint is certainly no exception to this, but this time around, the wireless carrier has decided to to launch a week long holiday deal for its current customers.
Heading to this year’s holiday season, T-Mobile had already revealed a couple of special offers as part of its Unwrapped promos. These include a $200 bill credit awarded to subscribers switching from rival wireless carrier Sprint, and also unlimited LTE data absolutely free of charge for subscribers of Simple Choice plans.
Not to be outdone by rival T-Mobile (which recently unveiled its holiday deals), Verizon Wireless is also introducing a holiday deal of its own. Indeed, the biggest wireless carrier in the United States has just revealed that it is offering a couple of extra gigabytes of LTE data every month to existing subscribers of any qualified Verizon plan, or to customers switching from rival wireless carriers who decide to upgrade.
It has only been a couple of weeks since T-Mobile made some potentially industry shaking announcements during its Uncarrier X event held in the city of Los Angeles in early November this year, and it is quite understandably, mobile users might not have recovered yet. But it appears that it is still full steam ahead for the wireless carrier, which is launching yet another promotion for subscribers of its Simple Choice plans.
Since it was first launched (even minutes after it became available for pre-ordering), the iPhone 6 Plus has been in rather limited supply. As seen on Apple's official website, the bigger of the two new iPhone devices always displayed a shipping time of 3 to 4 weeks since September.
As we are entering into the holiday season, that 3 to 4 weeks shipping time might not be soon enough, especially for customers who want to get their iPhone 6 Plus devices a little early.
The holidays are here and so are the promotional phone deals. Cricket Wireless certainly thinks so. The prepaid wireless service provider (a subsidiary of AT&T) has just announced several holiday promos that should excite its customers. Cricket’s phone deals will take effect starting November 14th and will be good until January 8th of next year.
