Last Friday, Sprint took the opportunity to officially debut its Sprint Direct Connect Plus (SDC Plus) offering. The service is basically the major US wireless carrier’s newest push to talk (PTT) solution, which should allow business or corporate teams to enjoy real time telecoms services with just one press. The Sprint Direct Connect Plus feature is powered by Kodiak Networks’ PTT platform, and offers full support for Wi-Fi connectivity, presence information, and even tablet devices.
It appears that Boost Mobile is not the only launching a back to school promotion deal. Mobile virtual network operator Tello is also introducing its own back to school special offer -- specifically a generous $20 discount on selected mobile devices that are purchased together with a wireless plan.
The competition intensifies as wireless carriers from every corner of the United States continue to introduce offer after offer in the hopes of gaining new subscribers, including those currently subscribed to other rival mobile service providers.
Here is good news for those hunting for budget-friendly mobile devices. MetroPCS, the prepaid wireless service provider owned by T-Mobile, is offering three brand new entry-level smartphones for a very affordable price of only $29 per piece. These devices are the LG Optimus L70, the Alcatel ONE TOUCH Fierce 2, and the Kyocera Hydro LIFE.
Previously, all three smartphones were available on MetroPCS plans for $99 each. Any customer who signs up for the prepaid brand's $50 and $60 monthly plans can have access to the any of the three devices.
