Xiaomi released its flagship device, the Mi 4i, in India a couple of weeks ago. Now, the Chinese phone maker is eyeing to roll out the handset in Singaporean and Hong Kong markets on May 12th of this year. The company is planning to release announcements for the Taiwanese, Indonesian, and Malaysian markets soon.
During an event held in the city of New Delhi in India, Xiaomi introduced its newest smartphone offering, the Mi 4i. Aside from being the first handset that the Chinese phone maker designed outside of its home country, this device is also marks the first time a Xiaomi smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box.
During one of its recent major events held in Beijing, China, Xiaomi introduced two new smartphones, plus a TV streaming box and a pair of high-end headphones.
Xiaomi cements its status as the third biggest smartphone manufacturer in the world by launching not one but two flagship mobile devices to start the year 2015. The two devices are the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro. Both mobile devices use the phone maker's high-end Mi brand, which should not be mistaken for the company's other low-end smartphone offering, the Redmi Note.
