By way of a recent blog post, Motorola has revealed that two of its newest smartphone offerings -- the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force -- will have the honor of being the first devices not made by Google to have support for Daydream, the search giant’s virtual reality (VR) platform. Indeed this week, Motorola is starting its worldwide deployment of Android 7.0 Nougat, the latest version of the Android mobile operating system, to its two Moto Z handsets.
For its latest flagship Android smartphone offerings, Lenovo’s Motorola brand has decided to go modular. Indeed, the newest pair of Moto devices -- the Moto Z and the Moto Z Force -- feature a super slim body (the Moto Z is just over 5 millimeters thick) and a modular design that allows them to possess capabilities beyond what normal smartphones can do. Some mobile users may have to get used to the fact that the newest Moto smartphones do not come with headphone jacks, but with their modular capabilities, perhaps that is not too bad (a USB-C to 3.5 millimeter jack adapter is included with the devices).
